Meet Rob DeScherer

Robert K. DeScherer has been with the firm since June of 2006. He began his career as a financial professional in 1996 and was appointed as an Investment Adviser Representative in 2001.  In 1982, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Literature from Tufts University. Rob is married with two very active sons.

Mr. DeScherer is deeply involved in his community and volunteers his time and energy to a number of local non-profit organizations.  He has been an active member of the Bergen County Players since 1995, where has has served as president and currently sits on the Board of Governors. In 1990, he joined WFDU-FM, a non-commercial, educational radio station at Fairleigh-Dickinson University, as a member of the on-air staff and is still broadcasting today. More recently, he began assisting the Northeast Regional Early Intervention Collaborative in its fundraising efforts. The Collaborative is a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to promote quality, family centered early intervention services in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. He also serves as the Treasusrer of the North Jersey Federal Credit Union Foundation. The main focus of the Foundation is to help support community-based charities and local scholarship opportunities. Closer to home, Rob has been both a recreational and travel league baseball coach for several years, which has given him extra time to spend with his boys.

Mr. DeScherer is dedicated to developing lasting relationships with all his clients. He believes in helping each person become confident in assessing their financial goals and participating in the financial services process. One of the benefits of working with Rob is his ability to provide clear, easily understood explanations of financial products and services. The personal strategy that he can provide is a roadmap to working toward a more secure financial future.
